Meditation Classes in Austin, Texas
Meditation as your foundation to living Yoga in your life.
Meditation at Sukha isn't an add-on to the physical practice, it's woven into everything we do. Whether you're sitting in stillness, moving through a slow Vinyasa, or working with pranayama breathwork, every Sukha class is an invitation to turn inward and use the practice as a tool for real life.
We offer dedicated meditation and breathwork classes, breathwork workshops, and the most comprehensive 200 hour meditation and breathwork teacher training certification program available in person and online. We integrate meditative awareness into yoga classes at all three of our Austin locations. Come experience meditation and mindfulness within all of our offerings.
What Meditation at Sukha Looks Like
There's no single way to meditate, and we don't teach it that way. Sukha's meditation classes draw from the intersection of Buddhism and Neuroscience, Self Compassion, and Loving Kindness, yogic philosophy, pranayama breathwork, Bhakti tradition, and contemplative practices, all taught in a way that's grounded, accessible, and relevant to daily life.
You don't need experience, you’ll be welcomed just as you are. Our teachers meet you exactly where you are and offer practices you can actually use, formally on your meditation cushion and most importantly in your life.
Classes range from guided seated meditation to breathwork-focused sessions to Yin Yoga and Restorative practices that use a nervous system supportive, trauma care approach to stillness and gentle movement as an invitation into a meditative state.

Pranayama, Kundalini Yoga & Breathwork Classes
Pranayama is the the yogic science of modulating the breath with intention to activate or downshift the nervous system, thus practitioners can experience shifts in consciousness, adaptability to stress, and can experience euphoric states of bliss, deep relaxation and grounded alertness. It is one of the most powerful and underutilized tools in a modern yoga practice. At Sukha we introduce yogic breathing and supportive nervous system practices to gently and practically explore its effects from your very first class.
Our breathwork classes and pranayama-focused sessions are offered to complement both heated and non-heated yoga practice and are a core part of Sukha's meditation training curriculum.
New to Meditation?
The most common thing we hear from new meditators is that they can't quiet their mind or still still. The good news is, those aren’t the purpose or goal of the practice. Sukha's meditation classes are designed for real people with busy minds, full lives, and genuine curiosity about what's possible when you slow down and pay attention with care and curiosity.
Start with our Sunday Morning Dharma Talk and Meditation led by Erinn Arizcorreta. Since 2015, this gathering of community has been a welcoming refuge to explore the teachings inspired by Buddhism and practice meditation in sangha. All are welcome.
Each practice will explore a variety of techniques and dialogues to help awaken wisdom and compassion in ourselves and the world around us. The practices are designed to enable us to develop trust in our awakened hearts and begin the conversation and practice of cultivating this quality in our everyday lives. No previous meditation experience required.
