Bhakti yoga is the yoga of devotion, a path of practice rooted in mantra, chant, kirtan, and sacred sound. It is one of the oldest and most accessible paths in the yoga tradition, requiring no physical flexibility and no prior musical training. It asks only that you show up and open your heart.
-
Kirtan is the call-and-response style of devotional chanting practiced in community. Mantra is the sacred sound itself — the syllables, names, and phrases drawn from Sanskrit and the Bhakti tradition. In this training you will learn both: the mantras themselves and how to share them with others through kirtan.
-
This weekend is part of a full Bhakti learning pathway at Sukha Yoga. Students who want to continue can join our Seasonal Chant Camps (Beginner, Continuing, and Advanced), and those called to lead can apply for our annual Kirtan Leadership Training each June. Every step builds on the last.
