Adaptive Hatha and Gentle Yoga Training

A teacher training in adaptive Hatha Yoga taught through the lens of accessibility, nervous system care, and the practice that meets every body.

Available in person at Sukha Yoga Austin and live online for students anywhere.

A Yoga training to meet life just as it is.

Yoga meets us in every season. In strength and in tenderness. In health and in change. In the body we have today and the body we will have in twenty years.

This training is for teachers who want to deepen the adaptive lens to meet their students needs. And for practitioners who want real tools to sustain their own practice through every season of life and health, with the confidence to walk into any room and care for themselves on the mat.

Adaptive yoga is not a separate style. It is a way of seeing every student in every body across every season of life and health as unique and worthy of care. Every variation is the practice.

What you’ll learn

  • Gentle and Hatha Yoga foundations A experiential practice in restorative and gentle yoga, slow intentional Hatha, mudras, and breathwork taught through the lens of accessibility. Every posture meets the practitioner, not the other way around.

The Sequencing Arc Sukha's framework for building accessible, intelligent classes. Postures create the container for awareness. Pranayama enhances the body's response system. Mudras focus meditative energy. Relaxation tools settle the mind, sharpen concentration, and build inner awareness.

Cueing language for real teaching A working cueing bank organized by body focus, with invitational and trauma-aware phrasing.

  • The training draws from classical Hatha lineage, somatic and trauma-aware work, and Erinn's 25 years of teaching across the full spectrum of life.

Yoga is taught as it was meant to be taught: as a path that meets the practitioner. Props, modifications, and adaptations are not workarounds. They are the practice itself.

Students leave with the confidence to walk into any room, meet any body, and teach with skill, permission, and care.

  • Current yoga and movement teachers For teachers seeking real tools to teach mixed-level rooms, support pregnant students, those working with injury or chronic conditions, those in midlife and beyond, and adapt to the bodies that show up in your classes.

Dedicated practitioners deepening their study For long-time practitioners who want to understand Hatha at the level the practice deserves, with no obligation to teach professionally.

Students whose practice is changing For those whose own practice is asking them to meet their body with more skill, permission, and care. The training gives you the tools to do that.
