A modern education space for embodied wisdom.

Trainings in meditation, nervous system care, adaptive movement, and devotional practice. Taught from three studios in Austin, Texas and offered to students around the world.

Living the Practice of Yoga

Sukha's continued evolution reflects the ever changing landscape of life and the world around us. We strive to adapt and meet our students where they are, drawing from yoga philosophy, Buddhist study, somatic intelligence, and decades of integrated teaching.

We are rooted in whole-person care through nervous system literacy, meditation, and adaptive practices. Sukha is rooted in whole-person care through nervous system literacy, meditation, and adaptive practices.

Nervous system literacy is the ability to recognize how your body responds to the world and to meet those responses with care. It shapes how we move through stress, how we stay present in relationships, how we lead, and how we teach. It is not just individual. It lives in the systems we work in, the cultures we belong to, and the bodies that carry us through this life.

It is a skill that takes time to build, and the work of building it is what we teach.

Mini Nervous system literacy self check-in practice:

Take a moment to arrive and observe what’s fresh in this moment, just as you are.

  1. What sensations do you notice once you slow down?

  2. What is the quality of your breath in this moment, without directing it?

  3. What part of you is asking for care today?

  4. If you let this moment be enough, what would soften?

  5. When you imagine "home" in your body, what arises?

Four Paths of Study

Each path represents a distinct lineage of learning at Sukha
shaped by the continued the evolution of our community.

Foundational Teacher Trainings

The original architecture of yoga as a transformational practice. These programs are built for those who want to teach with depth, or who want to study yoga itself as a path of self-understanding. The training shapes the teacher. The teacher shapes the practice.

Meditation and Nervous System Education

Practices for the inner landscape. Meditation training, yin work, breathwork, and nervous system care. This pathway addresses what most modern humans need and are searching for: a way to slow down, settle in, and meet life from a clear and attuned center.

Devotion and Bhakti

The heart of the tradition. Mantra, bhakti, kirtan, and the philosophical roots of yoga taught as living practices. This pathway carries the parts of yoga that resist commodification. It is where the practice becomes a relationship rather than a routine.

Online and Hybrid Learning

Education that meets real lives. Online courses, recorded trainings, and hybrid programs that allow students from anywhere to study with Sukha. This pathway carries our work beyond Austin while preserving the depth and care of in-person education.

The Trainings

When someone asks about training with Sukha we offer an often insightful question back toward them.

When you imagine saying yes, what does that feel like in your body? And what would you choose if time and resources weren't the question?

The right training often reveals itself from there.

Foundational Teacher Trainings

Foundational programs for becoming a yoga teacher or deepening your own practice as a path of self-understanding. Students leave with greater emotional intelligence, a stronger relationship to themselves, and the capacity to hold space for others with steadiness and authenticity.

Meditation and Nervous System Education

Trainings in meditation, yin, breathwork, and nervous system care. For students learning how to slow down, regulate, and create more spaciousness, clarity, and steadiness in daily life and those wanting to share these practices with others.

Who finds their way here.

People longing to deepen their own practice.

Many of our students are not aspiring teachers. They have dedicated themselves to their practice and want to integrate more of it into their lives. The trainings give that longing a clear path and a communal space to deepen over time.

Teachers seeking depth and sustainability.

For teachers already guiding others, these programs offer a place to return to their own practice, deepen their understanding, and reconnect to why they began teaching in the first place. As teachers we can turn toward presence, steadiness, and teaching from lived experience, which is exactly what Erinn and Mark are known for.

People experiencing stress, transition, or change.

Some students arrive in a season of life that asks more of them than they currently have capacity for. Meditation, yin, and breathwork become the ground beneath that long after the season shifts.

Erinn Arizcorreta

Co-Founder

Erinn has been teaching for 25 years and has studied with Pema Chödrön for more than fifteen. She leads Adaptive Hatha, Yin and Nervous System Care programs. She has been teaching Sunday morning Dharma and Meditation for the last 10 years drawing from Buddhist study, Chinese Medicine, and decades of work with the nervous system. Her teaching reflects the alchemical process of taking the raw material of life and using it as fertilizer for wisdom, a reflection of our shared humanity.

Mark Herron

Co-Founder

Mark co-leads Sukha's 200 Hour Meditation and Flow Trainings, along with Yoga Philosophy. A guitar in hand you’ll find him chanting mantra at the studio and on retreat. His lineage draws from Ram Dass, the Bhakti tradition, and Taoist philosophy, and he is a self-taught musician who has shaped the sound and visual atmosphere of every Sukha space. He teaches the way he lives, unapologetically himself, willing to say the thing other teachers hold back, and honest about being human and flawed like everyone in the room.

Common questions.

  • Our trainings are built on nervous system literacy, adaptive practice, and Buddhist-informed self-study. Most yoga teacher trainings teach how to teach poses. Ours teach how to hold space for real humans, care for your own nervous system, and integrate practice into modern life. The depth comes from decades of curriculum design and integrated teaching.

  • What is the difference between nervous system literacy and nervous system regulation?

Nervous system literacy is the trained capacity to read your body's internal signals: breath, tension, posture, and felt sense. It is about growing capacity, not enforcing calm.

Nervous system regulation is the body's capacity to move between activation and rest with skill. It is the biological work the body does when given the right tools and conditions.

Literacy teaches you to recognize what is happening in your body and why. Regulation is what becomes possible once you can read your own signals clearly. At Sukha, we teach literacy first, through somatics, yoga, and breathwork, so regulation can follow over time.

  • Many students start with one of our shorter programs, like Yin and Nervous System Care or one of our breathwork or kundalini trainings, before deciding whether to pursue a full teacher training certification. If you are unsure, reach out. We will talk through what you are seeking and help you find an entry point.

  • No. Many of our students take trainings for personal study, not professional certification. The depth of the experience is the same. The intention is what differs.

  • Each program lists its hours and format. Most of our trainings are designed in modular weekend or weekday evening with hybrid online components where appropriate. Sukha trainings are built for adults with real lives.

  • Most of our programs are available in hybrid format, with live online sessions and recorded study options. Our On-Demand and Hybrid Learning pathway is built specifically for students who cannot be in Austin full-time. Reach out about specific programs or check the program page, as it will note if it has a hybrid or self-paced option.

  • Tuition varies by program. Each training page lists pricing, payment plans, and any current scholarship offerings. We work to keep our trainings accessible while honoring the depth of what is being taught.

  • Sukha trainings are designed to begin a relationship and graduates often continue with mentorship, specialty courses, retreats, and ongoing practice in community. Many of our teachers were once students in these same programs.
