Yin and Nervous System Care Training
An experiential Yin Yoga Teacher Training rooted in nervous system literacy, meridian theory, and a reslience approach. Available in-person at Sukha Yoga Austin and live online for students anywhere.
True authority in space-holding requires more than theoretical knowledge—it demands deep, lived embodiment. Sukha Yoga Austin’s Yin Yoga Teacher Training is an experiential-forward, hybrid certification program designed for professional yoga teachers, therapists, massage therapists, educators, sound healers, and movement specialists. Recognizing that safe facilitation stems from personal integration, our dual-component framework provides extended, immersive practice blocks paired with rigorous online study.
Backed by a 25-year legacy of expert curriculum design, this training bridges the gap between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) meridian theory and modern nervous system regulation. Moving far beyond standard posture variations, you will explore the intersections of seasonal wellness, breathwork, and emotional physiology. Whether you are looking to expand your teaching expertise, integrate somatic movement, or deepen your personal practice, our program ensures you graduate with the groundedness, emotional intelligence, and evidence-based trauma-informed yoga protocols required to lead with absolute confidence.
The Curriculum
Each training session is organized around a season of the year and its corresponding TCM element, weaving together meridian theory, the emotional energies of the element, nervous system care, and extended experiential practice. Students move through the full seasonal cycle across the duration of the training.
Each session also includes extended experiential practice, teaching methodology, and the integration of nervous system science with the season's energetic and emotional themes.

How it works.
The training is offered in a hybrid format. You can join us in person at Sukha Yoga Austin or live online from anywhere in the world.
Live sessions are held over weekends across the duration of the training. Each session is recorded and uploaded to the student portal within 48 hours, so you can revisit material or complete the training entirely through recordings if your schedule requires it.
Between sessions, students complete self-paced learning modules, personal practice, reading, and reflective journaling. The outside work can be completed within six months of the training's start.
For certification, students complete an additional 6 yin classes and 3 meditation classes outside of the training. These can be done in person or online with Sukha Yoga or at your local studio if you live outside of Austin.
