Founders, Mark Herron & Erinn Arizcorreta

We both teach full time alongside running the day-to-day operations, and we continue to be inspired by the path of yoga. You can find us on the schedule most days, and we'd love to say hi before or after a class. Community matters more than ever - and we're here to make Sukha a welcoming space for all of it. See you in the studio.

About Sukha Yoga Austin

Sukha Yoga Austin is a locally owned yoga studio founded in 2015 by Erinn Arizcorreta and Mark Herron. We operate three locations across Austin, South Austin, Tarrytown, and East Austin. We offer infrared heated yoga, non-heated yoga, breathwork, mantra, meditation, online and local teacher trainings and courses, and international retreats. Sukha has been featured by Yoga Journal, Manduka, Austin Fit Magazine, CultureMap Austin, foundingAUSTIN, and Stroll Tarrytown.

Our Story

We opened Sukha Yoga in 2015 and the communities have called several Austin neighborhoods home. Sukha has grown into one of the city's longest-running and most loved yoga studios.

We are a yoga studio for movement, breathwork, meditation, and deeper self-study, offered both in person and online. Our approach is down-to-earth and non-dogmatic and shaped by the many lineages that have formed our personal paths over 36+ years of combined teaching and study.

Meet the Founders

Erinn Arizcorreta is co-founder of Sukha Yoga Austin and has been teaching since 2001. Her specialty is nervous system adaptability, where the raw material of life - including her own recovery, become the training ground for wisdom. She's been a student of Buddhism and Pema Chödrön for 15 years, and spent more than two years studying Chinese Medicine at the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine and Austin. Both shape how she teaches classes and leads Sukha's annual Meditation Training and Yin and Emotional Wellbeing course. She also leads Adaptive Hatha and Seasons of Life trainings, using props and nervous system care to show teachers and practitioners how to tune in and use the body's feedback as the guide. Erinn has been building impactful teacher training curriculums for more than half of her professional life, and leads small-group breathwork sessions in person and online.

Mark Herron is co-founder of Sukha Yoga Austin, a self-taught musician and a lifelong athlete. He leads mantra and devotional practice at the studio and on retreat, drawing on years of study in Bhakti, yoga philosophy, and traditional yoga lineages. Mark co-leads Sukha's 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings and mentors teachers as they find their voice. His own lineage runs through Ram Dass, the principle of wu wei, and Stoic philosophy, alongside an ongoing love of how psychology and yoga intersect. Outside of teaching, Mark brings decades of experience as a professional photographer and brand and interior design consultant, and his work has shaped the visual and physical feel of every Sukha space.
