Yoga as Union for All

Yoga serves as a comprehensive framework for living. Its inherently inclusive nature is a quality I deeply appreciate; it embraces all beliefs and not only sustains life but actively encourages a spirit of inquiry and curiosity. My favorite aspect is its ability to constantly challenge me, revealing where I am stuck and still caught in the struggle of duality—pulled from one extreme to the other. This practice shows me both heightened reactivity and increased calmness compared to my past self. Yoga illuminates the roots of my insecurities and highlights the unhelpful patterns of behavior I continue to foster. It offers an honest reflection, free from the constraints of duality and the artificial rules humans create. The word "yoga" translates to "union"—the union of everything, the single source. In that space, even if only for a moment, I can touch freedom. Through steady, ongoing practice, I slowly gain more freedom from my own illusions and the ego structures of my mind. I do not seek enlightenment; my humble desire is simply to become a more grounded and dependable person for myself and my loved ones. Yoga is a profound and beautiful path. If you haven't made it to a mat, give it a go.
